Name-brand devotees of the gargantuan-size luxury-ute class are missing out. Sure, the Cadillac Escalade has the chrome-tastic appeal and pop culture status to keep units of the nearly 6000-pound SUV moving out of dealerships, but many wealthy buyers might not realize what other gems exist in the stratospheric $60,000-$100,000, seven-to-eight-passenger luxury-SUV class.

Take, for example, the Infiniti QX56, a sport/utility that has become one of the brand’s top-selling items, behind the G sedan and coupe cars, but ahead of far more affordable entries like the EX and FX SUVs, not to mention the M sedan…

  1. With a complete redesign, the new 2011 QX56 luxury SUV has been able to give a tough competition to all its rivals including the new Caddy Escalade, Mercedes Benz GL550, Lincoln Navigator, and the new Lexus LX 570.
