UPDATE: Click here for an update on this case from May 28, 2009 — the day of Bramlage’s sentencing.

Last week, the jury took half-a-day to reach a second-degree murder conviction. Motions and sentencing have been scheduled for April 15 (we’ll have another update then).

Bramlage faces a 15-year-to-life prison sentence.  Since the jury found true the claim that Bramlage had used a knife to convict a crime, another year could be added to the sentence, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.

Bramlage remains in custody on $1 million bail.
